Book Note: Janet Kagan, Hellspark

I read this book about 18-Oct-2002. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1988. This note was last modified Saturday, 19-Aug-2006 10:43:59 PDT.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

This is a great book. So was Mirabile. This very likely means that I ought to read Uhura's Song, but so far I haven't been able to surmont its being a Trek novel and give it a try.

I'd forgotten that Hellspark has such a big component about children. Well, about a young extrapolative computer. As important as the general topic was in Mirabile, really. I like the way she approaches that subject.

And the sprookje's and their world are a pretty nifty bit of construction, too.

So, what it comes down to is that she should write more, darn it.
