By Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. A much-delayed sequel to The Mote in God's Eye. As with all much-delayed sequels to really great books, it doesn't live up to its predecessor. Many people would put it rather more simply, and say "it sucks". After this reading, I actually wouldn't say that.
