Book Note: Peter O'Donnell, Sabre-Tooth

I read this book about 13-Oct-2002. I've read this book before. The book is copyright 1966. This note was last modified Tuesday, 06-May-2014 13:41:41 PDT.

This is book 2 of the "Modesty Blaise" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

A batch of old favorite books. The editions I have all have horrible covers. I mostly read these at home, rather than being seen in public with them.

This is a good early book in the series. The crazy bad guys aren't sexually perverse (which I'm not against on principle, but I think it got overused later on in the series). As always, it's the character relationships that really make this fly. This time, Willy and Modesty, and Sir Gerald Tarrant. And Mike Delgado, brought in from Modesty's past. And John Dall, appearing around the edges as usual. He's a little thin, but the rest are wonderful. This one also has the lovely scene where Sir Gerald gets to watch Modesty and Willy have a serious workout.
