Book Note: Stuart Woods, Severe Clear

I read this book about 1-May-2016. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2012. This note was last modified Tuesday, 14-Jun-2016 09:43:32 PDT.

This is book 24 of the "Stone Barrington" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

This is the immediate predecessor to the first one I read. I started grabbing what came to hand at the local branch library.

Despite the aviation cover and title, it's not much an aviation book (like the next one, the private jets of the rich feature in it some).

So, it's about terrorism, the good guys fighting it (based partly on an NSA intercept), the bad buys being stupidly human (trying to save a woman the chief bad guy met recently), and the usual amount of luck (the nuclear bomb wasn't booby-trapped?).

Unlike Tom Clancy's nuclear terrorists, these don't get to set off their bomb. So the fancy hotel open on schedule, and the presidents of the USA and Mexico plus half the Hollywood a-list actors survive.
