This is book 3 of the "Vatta's War" series.

This note does not contain major spoilers for the book.

In fact, this was the book in this series that kind of stopped me. I probably will borrow the rest and read them, I guess, but this one felt to me like an entire book that made no progress on any of the important issues.

The title amuses me; one of the signals periodically mentioned in the O'Brian books means "engage the enemy more closely", and I can't help thinking the title was inspired by that.
