Book Note: Robert B. Parker, Blue-Eyed Devil

I read this book about 16-Apr-2016. This is the first time I've read this book. The book is copyright 2010. This note was last modified Sunday, 17-Apr-2016 13:46:48 PDT.

This is book 4 of the "Cole and Hitch" series.

This note contains spoilers for the book.

Fourth in this western series. Pretty much like the other two I've read.

Virgil Cole is one of the best gunfighters around (but there are lots of people he hasn't fought also still around). His friend Everett Hitch is, too. They're back in Apaloosa, with a new set of people fighting over controlling the town, and following their own standards. And they're left standing at the end of the book (though this is the last of them that Parker wrote I believe; there are continuations by other people).

The short chapters (and starting each chapter on a new page) inflate the apparent size of the book a bit. And the short choppy dialog, though that fits the characters.
